Affiliate Programs http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affiliate_% 29% 28Partnerprogramm, webmasters have the ability to generate revenue. But to what extent has the private blog advertising effect on my credibility?
Basically speaking two points for integrating advertising into your own blog:
1) to cover their own costs for web space and domain (if the blog was self-hosted and placed) and
2) "allowance" for the time invested.
The first point should be clear to anyone. Google AdSense for this seems to be used as the most common way. From a certain frequenting the blog income should exceed costs quickly, especially in view of the fact that you can get for only one, two or three euros per month web hosting packages today. For example, I am with campusspeicher.de http://www.campusspeicher.de/?werbecode=Mjg4Mw == * and pay for two domains, and XXX GB webspace just 2,95 € per month.
About the second point I have so formally called "allowance", one can certainly argue. For one - I assume - writes each with a private blog from the joy of writing, because expertise is available to perform the communication needs out or simply a kind of diary, etc. - but not to generate revenue! Secondly, I consider myself as a business economist but this time spent in front of eyes. Multiplying this time now with the hourly net income that could be generated by alternative work, it seems justified the marketing of their own blogs.
Note: Dear individuals, please also think of your blog revenue when you're sitting at the tax return!
But how advertising works on private websites to visitors?
From my own experience: One of my favorite blogs is basicthinking.de. Favorite blog in my case means: ansurfen Almost daily, skim title, interest in reading, and occasionally comment on an article. A few weeks ago I was able to read there that you have decided to use affiliate links in the future. Initially I disliked this, but then - a second later
I found that it was high time for it anyway. But I see this of course from the perspective of a webmaster - can see this potential and understand the step. But guess what non-webmaster? If the author still familiar in the same way if it can earn money through the article? Basically apply reviews and recommendations from consumers on the Internet as a highly credible, and of 95% (via http://www.fuellhaas.com/2009/04/28/der-kampf-um-glaubwurdigkeit/) of all Internet users in making purchasing decisions often chosen.
2007, a study (commissioned by ask.com) that read 68% of all respondents (over 600 participants) like blogs because they could read there other than in the media (via http://www.foerderland.de/ 419 + M58faf5eecc0.0.html). In terms of credibility of corporate blogs fared the worst. 25% of respondents believe this content less. Specialist blogs and private blogs were better because: Only 2.1% are professional blogs and only 12% are private blogs suspicious. So private blogs have confidential nature. The brand also know, of course providers and therefore try about affiliate programs and paid products to advertise on blogs for their products.
Determines doubt some of the visitors to the independence of the written opinion or a recommendation to altruism! And the more advertising is on private blogs to use, the higher the risk that they will lose the trust advantage. Especially if advertising is not marked as such. Reputable providers such as Trigami http://www.trigami.com/?ref=Cookie * commit their bloggers even that the labeling (ie between the title and blog post) must always be mounted at the top before the beginning of the article. Thumbs up!
From this point one must distinguish regular readers and new visitors:
Regular readers will be less doubt the credibility. "They know each other," you trust the authors. In the case of basicthinking.de was elucidated in the article on advertising links and critical readers were assured, was made clear in the:
"... Copy the exact text ... linked products are not so expensive, only bt deserve with ..."
New visitors that come in. fluttered for example by means of search engines, however, may interfere in promotional links, trust less the content and leave the website accordingly quickly. Finally, there are countless blogs who want to give the impression to be reputable and independent, but in reality have a paid product after another, want to encourage visitors to click on specific links or only pillar of link pyramids.
When advertising, what should you consider?
Honesty: Credibility is always a prerequisite for honesty! Unfortunately, this is not self-evident today. For example, I like to write about my experience with brand suppliers. Honesty is therefore a top priority! Bloggers should inform their readers about the purpose and intention of their weblogs (for example in an "About Me" page). A private Werblog normally assumes no commercial intentions, but should - after a certain amount of advertising - will also be informed. A few AdSense placements are determined no reason to comment. I think it sends to write as soon as you start to integrate affiliate links directly into an article Article.
Transparency: Authors should affiliate and partner links in articles marked as such. I attach, for example, an asterisk at each of these links and then clarify below the bottom of it. Other bloggers write behind every link in brackets if it is an affiliate link. A few bloggers have the readers even have the choice to: your articles even included the traditional link directly below and as an "affiliate link" partner link marked. Very polite, so everyone can decide for himself whether he wants to do something good for the webmaster or not. Should be placed outside of the Articles Advertising, so of course this should also be reported as such. Well, surely it is obvious and therefore unnecessary in many cases, on the other hand it makes sense to many places. I have my commercial breaks provided in the blog sidebar titled "Advertisement".
Affiliate links, advertising blocks, partner links, and paid products to target group-ich.de:
Actually "verunstalte" I hate my layout with ads and I also think that it is worth only after a certain number of visitors to incorporate advertising blocks. In my case however I had from previous web presences still active accounts at various partner programs. This now lay for some time on ice and in some a deposit was even open, which has not yet been paid due to the payment limit not yet reached. A good Schwabe course not wasted this, and so have decided to (thematically fitting provided) integrate many Affiliate in this weblog. Even though it will take, given the (still) something manageable number of visitors until a payout limit is reached, I have since January of the following providers integrated advertising on targeted-ich.de:
Google AdSense: AdSense built into a WordPress blog is easy using the right plugins, and thus I have AdSense ads incorporated from the outset in this blog. The revenues are limited, but at least I drive it back inside my web-hosting costs.
Contaxe http://www.contaxe.com/?cchnref=13131 * offers statically defined ads also context sensitive (content-related) advertising and is thus comparable with Google AdSense.
Zanox <- START of the zanox affiliate HTML code ->
<- (The HTML code may not be changed in the sense of faultless functionality!) ->
<img src="http://www.zanox-affiliate.de/ppv/?14393347C1272514040" align="bottom" width="1" height="1" border="0" hspace="1"> <a href = "http://www.zanox-affiliate.de/ppc/?14393347C1272514040T"> zanox </ a>
<- END of the zanox affiliate HTML code ->: zanox has a very wide range of programs, which advertising media lists for many famous brands.
Finanzen.de http://www.finanzen.de/partnerprogramm.html is new. Since I like (for example, my experience with free checking accounts with direct banks) write about various financial issues, it seems to me this affiliate program as appropriate.
Trigami http://www.trigami.com/?ref=Cookie *: So far I have not posted any items for a fee. Offers of small and medium-sized companies I have already received. However, I have refused every time, because the contents did not match my blog theme. In Trigami although I am logged in, however, the target group-ich.de is not yet activated it. Since the scope of this blog at the moment we say is "upgradable", I can also imagine that the part Trigami is rejected.
For advertising of any kind on the target group-ich.de applies:
· Should I offer to you in the future an affiliate link instead of a traditional, so this leads you to the same destination, but it goes through an affiliate network and has no means a disadvantage for you.
· Other affiliate links in articles will always be based on content and you should also provide an added value (eg, direct link to the article to compare price or additional information)!
· Do not write articles that encourage you to click any behavior! Should I publish articles for cash ever, I am writing unbiased and stick to my own honest opinion.
· Most of my links are as usual completely ad-free, and provide either a recommendation on my part, a source of information or further information about the products dar.
I see the inclusion of advertising on my blog primarily as an experiment, especially with the thought that I would write about my experience here on. Hope I have then to report more positive than negative
What do you feel about advertising on private blogs? At what level the credibility suffers? From what visitors affiliate programs pay off? Comments about this, I would appreciate it.
