The first King Pilsener Webfilm Award

[ Trigami-Review ] The Web Movies Award 2010 by King Pilsner: A successful marketing and a lot of potential for new filmmakers.
By mid-January König-Brauerei GmbH, Duisburg had to participate in the König Pilsener Film Award at www.koenig-filmaward.de called. Fittingly slogan of the campaign: "König Pilsener - Great moments for the small screen."
Prices as well attracted 10,000 euros prize money for the winner and therefore many applicants had submitted your flimischen creations. All participants had the opportunity to submit even more movies and so were also made over 350 posts. Phew, had the jury not be easy, whatever Til Schweiger (Jury Board) stressed during the ceremony again. The pre-selection of the best 25 participants but not subject to the jury about Mr. Schweiger, but registered users (registration is allowed each) were allowed to vote for their favorite each.
Among registered users, a seat was raffled to the jury. This was Sébastien Wolf pleasure, alongside Til Schweiger, Hildegard Strauss (marketing manager and director of this project at the König Pilsener), Christian Hellman (Chief Editor at Axel Springer for film and television) Florian Beisert (Managing brand film) and Florian Meimberg (independent director) to sit on the jury table and from the remaining 25 participants to name the top three.
Et voila: The Favorites:
Number 3: "three square" This elevator goes from the post.:
2nd place: "Journey to Mars" An adventurous story of three travelers to Mars.:
. And the winner is ... "The Applicant" by Lutz Heineking A film in which two candidates talk in just seven minutes to head and neck:
Shall forward the decision? I personally have only seen these three, and find that the first has rightly won (albeit barely).

Background of the campaign: Lt. Mrs. Strauss (marketing, König Pilsener) honors King Pilsener always successful personalities under the motto "The beer, drink the best, must be the best." Thus crown King Pilsener now even the best clips. And as befits an Internet-based campaign, a campaign website launched (unfortunately, are not registered visitors only the three best videos to watch is available) and facebook , youtube and twitter skillfully incorporated.
From the perspective of a marketer a successful action. Especially when you consider that it was the first film award from King Pilsner. Has the power to leave at any rate traces. I personally think it always comes as a surprise that you can produce real Unterhaltungsfilmchen "sooo easy" (without a huge budget, professional actors, etc.). And it has been demonstrated once again that there are good young filmmakers in Germany. If the king Webfilm Award held annually from now on, I can well imagine that the submissions continue to rise!
