Via Ambient Media in Social Media - best practices of McDonalds or Starbucks ?
I am one of those people who go totally into funny and unusual advertising. Especially when you can participate. This goes to show us how easy McDonalds to animate people to carry on a trade mark. In London, the world famous Piccadilly Circus, McDonald's uses a billboard, which is animated by some funny pictures, leads people to deal with the billboard in the background - and thus also with the Mc Donald's logo - to be photographed:
McDonalds is in the range ambient media quite large, it is hardly a village without any posters, billboards or hoardings with the big yellow "M". However, there was at the burger giant and embarrassing actions in the area of Ambient, see this billboard . By and large, whole, it creates the brand but always good in our living environment contribute, as well as the example of "Late Night" shows beautifully.
The example at Piccadilly Circus is a great idea to take the brand into the social networks of people, but the idea is social media campaigns in other McDonalds less. I recently received my first bill from T-Mobile for my new contract, which I in April for myGoogle G1 * had been completed. Since I had not exceeded the inclusive minutes and 200 MB free data transfer, I was even more surprising that me more than the 30 € for my "Combi Relax 60" agreement was calculated. Namely € 46.55!
What's going on? The detailed listing provides information: It has been calculated a one-time delivery fee of € 20.97 net (24,95 € gross).
What's going wrong? Sure, everyone who has ever listened to the rates of T-Mobile website has read knows that when completing the online contract, the facility fee is waived. And I have the contract in the T-Mobile shop in my town have been completed. However - and now it comes - I'm the seller then asked explicitly whether I would have to pay for this one-time fee, otherwise I would prefer to complete the Contract online. And the seller unequivocally denied this and said "the facility fee does not apply of course, even if you buy in the shops!"Read the rest of this entry »
I hereby present to you the first detailed report from the series of brand experiences, which I would like to expand in the future.
Today: My direct banking experience and comparison report:
After I separated last year, in late summer 2008, had finished my studies, I had perforce from my previous bank, a savings bank. The reason is quite simple: After the end of the study are maintenance fees due.The lowest current package of savings is at 3.50 € per month and includes only the basics.I wanted a credit card, as I now and then book flights on short notice. With such short notice booking is the only payment option via credit card (I was at least at Air Berlin and German Wings above).Having one or another branch of other banks in my city (Citibank, Commerzbank, Hypo, Dresdner and Postbank) had visited it quickly became clear that I wanted to go to an online bank because of the cost factor was decisive for me.In addition to the costs and savings factor for me was also possible for cash withdrawal and deposit, and the use of the account as a joint account important. That meant so sit down, visit banking websites to compare rates for current accounts with credit card and then read numerous articles regarding the first favorite. My first favorites were the following:
Cortal Consors
DKB
Ing-DiBa
Norisbank
comdirect

This could be the title if you were to make a film about the German DIY stores advertising competition. What fascinates you about the do-it-yourself (DIY) industry with its distribution of DIY? An interesting article on consumer-products-germany.com explains:
The DIY segment reflects the particular challenges of the German retail landscape reflected particularly well. A sustained market concentration has led to a top seven patterns and to the Obi, Praktiker, Bauhaus, Hornbach Zeus, Rewe (sales line toom) and Globus are.
