When "All in one SEO" plugin manually insert meta tags?

After I 've reported recently , that I had entered manually in the settings from the "all in one SEO" plugin META information, I have now the webmaster Watchblog read as follows:
Not too much importance to have meta tags because they "abused" were earlier. Ie meta tags were specified, but which had nothing to do with the page. Therefore, meta tags are not as important. One should pay attention on it, however, that not all pages have the same meta tags and the same descriptions. This has in fact negatively on the side.
Accordingly, I should probably make my settings back. Now I am not sure ... the plugin finally has the opportunity to enter this information for each post!
The meta tags have lost in importance, but they are still an important part of Internet sites analysis of Google.
Any information can be an important information. In recent years, only the weights of the individual elements have been modified. Much to think that such information is not of belang, but they would all have to leave too little criteria for a contribution.
Thanks Paul, I've therefore decided not to give it. In addition, many other services pull info on a page (even if only the description) from the meta tags.
