Austrian Airlines currently advertises with the slogan "The densest network in Eastern Europe since the KGB." Funny or precarious?

After me in the current economic week (Issue 10.05.2010, # 19) display the motif of Austrian Airlines have noticed, I am also after a short search on twitpic to @ schomberg 's photo of a large poster joined to said subject.

On one hand, a funny pun. After all, is the claim of the Austrian Airlines "We fly for your smile". On the other hand, it is also risky. After all, is the KGB not for kids Birthday Bunch, but for espionage and the Cold War.

Just recently, the Austrian airline had burnt their fingers with a motive, which "each his own" served as a slogan. "His" here was a reference to the eponymous river. Unfortunately, however, this saying was at the entrance to the Buchenwald concentration camp attached.

Well, this saying falls in everyday life now and again - but always without any allusion to this camp. But in advertising is that - in my opinion - dangerous, especially in Austria and Germany.
